WEATHER: Beautuful. Highs in 70s
George cooked his famous shrimp and grits for breakfast...with a twist. He used the meat from some of the leftover lobster legs. It turned out great. The weather is so nice that we ate in the sunroom.
Aunt Martha is hosting a business luncheon tomorrow, so we helped her prepare for that. George and Uncle Leo worked on the deck, trimming lilac bushes,
...while Aunt Martha and I cooked and shopped.
Enjoyed Skyping with daughter Alexis in Rochester, MN.
For dinner, I made a mushroom risotto from a recipe I found online. It called for truffle oil, which I miraculously have, scrounged from a campground kitchen several months ago in Texas that someone left behind. I marinated chicken thighs from a sauce we bought at the Tabasco factory in Louisiana. George did them on the grill with some marinated portobellos. This BBQ was a test of the gas grill, so we will be prepared to grill hamburgers tomorrow for the luncheon.
