Day 276. May 8, 2014. Catching up with friends

LOCATION:  Rochester, MN, in SE. Part of state

WEATHER:  Nice. Highs in 60s.  Threatening storms 

We stayed overnight with my brother and his wife in Minneapolis.  After breakfast, we walked around the neighborhood which borders one of the beautiful lakes in the Twin Cities.

We drove back towards Rochester and met a high school friend for lunch in Northfield. Great to catch up with her.  

Back in Rochester, we ran errands, including a car tune-up.  (This is turning out to be an expensive week with repairs, and medical/dental appointments)!

We met a couple from a nearby neighborhood for dinner.  George couldn't pass up one of their Minnesota beer specials.  We shared their jambalaya special.

We went back to our cozy Airstream.  We are staying in a workshop area, and are very comfortable.

The sky looked ominous with tornados and hail nearby in the late evening. It skirted us, thankfully.
