What a great day! We started by reading a post-it note from the RV park....
He is a very gregarious guy. He has been a host at this park for 8 years. He took us on a tour of Newport. First, we drove around the harbor. Newport is the "Dungeness crab capital of the world". The shops have neat murals...
Crab traps are everywhere...
From there, we stopped by an oyster farm where they harvest gigantic Yaquina Bay and Kumamoto oysters. 
They harvest these year-round...
