WEATHER: Sunny and hot. High about 90
We spent the day at Springs Reserve, near downtown Las Vegas. It is a large park, with gardens, museum, pavilions for presentations, and rotating exhibits. We walked around the botanical gardens. Many of the desert cacti are in bloom.
We watched this strange character....a girl with leaves and green paint, on stilts, looking like a moving tree or vine.
We ate lunch in their cafe...surprisingly good.
There was a nice view of the Las Vegas strip from the cafe.
Back at the house, we swam in the pool and read.
DINNER: Risotto with mushrooms and shrimp. Decadently good.
