WEATHER: Another beautiful day. Sunny. Highs in 70s
Today was maintenance day......I needed a haircut and George needed to change oil in the car. We accomplished those tasks, then had lunch with Leo and Martha downtown.
We shopped for dinner, which included a stop at the liquor store. Prices are quite a bit higher here than in the USA. I bought a nice Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand which we enjoyed later in the day as we planned our Alaska trip, studying maps and the Milepost reference book, and got helpful hints from Martha and Leo.
We received a text from some friends in Rochester who are also headed to Alaska. They were nearby. We had hoped for a rendezvous with them here, but it didn't work out.
Dinner on the sun deck, watching birds and bees happily flying around.
DINNER: Grilled porkchops with leftover risotto with broccoli on the side.
