August 4, 2016. A look at Locksbottom

LOCATION:  House-sitting in Orpington, England
WEATHER:  Some rain, then sun. High upper 60s

We spent time in the morning researching things to do in the area.  We want to go to a London show, but are debating whether to spend so much money.  Even discount tickets in the nosebleed section are expensive.  I'd like to see "Book of Mormon"

We frittered away the morning, so it was too late to go anywhere too far away.  We decided to go to a town nearby called Locksbottom.  I love these English names!  We had lunch in a very nice brasserie, splitting some gazpacho and pasta.

It started to rain, so we didn't spend too much time walking around.  Nicely preserved town.

Back home, the sun came out.  Bela likes to sit in her chair, guarding us from foxes and squirrels.

George bought a disposable BBQ grill and spent the evening (literally 4 hours) cooking up some meat.

DINNER:  Grilled chicken, salad, and cheesy risotto.

  1. Definitely, go see "Book of Mormon". Absolutely hilarious - and surprisingly gentle to the Mormon faith, given that it's from the
    South Park guys.
