WEATHER: Sunny and warm. Highs about 70
We spent most of the day on trains. It is about 250 miles from Truro to Oxford. Here I am saying goodbye to Truro at the train station.....
The main reason we came to Truro is that I grew up in Truro, Iowa and wanted to see where the founders originated. Also, we wanted to see the beautiful Cornish countryside, including the area where the tv show Doc Martin is filmed.
The train was full of people returning home from their holiday in Cornwall.
Our destination today was Oxford. We have train tickets tomorrow to our next housesitting assignment. Emma, our Oxford homeowner, kindly invited us to stay overnight with her while in transit.
We had a lovely evening with her and the cats. She prepared a delicious seafood pie that I'm anxious to try to duplicate.
