WEATHER: Another furnace blast. Highs 100+
We left the town of Napa and stopped in St. Helena, a really cute touristy town. We parked on the Main Street in the downtown.....
Our parking place was in front of a real estate office, so of course I had to check out the posted ads. Yikes! A vacant .25 acre lot near downtown is $950,000!! Estates with beautiful homes, pools, gardens $10 million+.
We had breakfast at a cute bakery. Seemed very European.
We stopped in Calistoga, another little wine country town, then passed out of Napa Valley. It is actually quite small.
To get back to our farm, we drove through Sonoma County. The wineries are less fancy here. We stopped at one (most open at 10:00) and did a tasting.
Back at the farm, we sat inside until the temperature started dropping around 5:00.
DINNER: Hamburgers with tomato slices.
