WEATHER: Beautiful! Highs around 70. Lows in 40s!
Today is salad picking day. We have a good system.....Paola picks most of the greens; I pick herbs and flowers. There are so many edible ones....pansies, hollyhocks, rose petals, calendula, garlic flowers, arugula flowers, nasturtiums, evening primrose. I also picked more pee-wee tomatoes, enough to sell them separately. George picks other fruit and veg....pears, apples, kale, herbs, kohlrabi.
It was cool enough to pick in the afternoon. I picked more calendula and pee-wees. It took time to clean them, and they look so pretty....
DINNER: Shrimp and grits. Side dish was tomatoes (what else!?) and cucumbers.
You guys are doing great as farmers...you need to get a picture of the two of you, with a pitchfork...like that popular midwestern painting :)
