April 16, 2016. Neat places in Adelaide

LOCATION:  House-sitting in Adelaide, South Australia
WEATHER:  AM drizzle. Great in PM, in 60s

While we waited for the drizzle to stop, we played with Mello.  Sometimes he seems very fragile and old; other times he zips around like a rambunctious puppy.

We travelled downtown on the free tram and found a great microbrewery for lunch.  It serves Portuguese food.  We had tapas (appetizers).  We shared an order of cockles and a serving of fava beans cooked with chorizo.  Yum

Then, to the Central Market.  It was crazy busy.  We bought some veg.

Next door is bustling Chinatown.

Then, we hopped on the free bus that travels the perimeter of the city.  It was a good way to see more of Adelaide.

The tram is just a few blocks away, and we pass our favorite local brewpub on the way.  On our way home, we stopped there (our excuse was we needed to use the toilet), but of course we tasted a beer, too.

We spent some time on the computer, Skyping and making flight reservations for future travel.

DINNER:  Italian chicken with the leftover grilled chicken and leftover rice.  Cauliflower and salad sides.
