July 3, 2015. Back in Rochester, Minnesota

We arrived at the Minneapolis airport at 6:00 AM, a little sleepy and stiff from the red-eye flight.  We drove to Rochester, amid beautiful cornfields and soybean fields.  Everything here seems so green and lush.  The corn is more than " knee-high by the 4th of July".

They have had lots of rain, and gardens and crops are subsequently very happy.

We reunited with daughter Alexis, then had brunch with a lovely couple for whom we will house-sit later this week.

Rochester, the home of Mayo Clinic, continues to grow.  We went sight-seeing, curious about new buildings, restaurants, and even Rochester's first brewpub that have so rung up since we were here a year ago.

Rochester skyline (mostly Mayo buildings).....

DINNER:  We took Alexis and her friend Graham out to eat at the Thirsty Belgian, with Belgian beers and flatbread pizzas.
