Day 207. March 1, 2014. Cowboy country!

I am going to start each blog with our location and a note about the weather....

Today we left Choke Canyon State Park, about 85 miles SW of San Antonio, TX, and drove about 150 miles to Kerrville, TX, about 50 miles NW of San Antonio.  Sunny, high about 85.

On our way, we stopped in Bandera, which is supposed to be "Cowboy Country of the World".  We had a drink at this cowboy bar.  George had a Lone Star beer, of course

The bar had ladies' bras hanging from the ceiling

The place must really hop at night with bands and Texas 2-step dancing
Most people actually do wear cowboy hats and boots.  These guys were sitting in front of the bar
We are staying at a hotel in Kerrville one night so that George can do some computer work.

We went to a really nice restaurant in a historic building downtown, formerly a saloon and brothel.  Neat artwork on the walls

We had  ceviche as an appetizer, and lime/cilantro shrimp as an entree.

The hotel seems luxurious!
