Day 212. March 6, 2914. Texas Hill Country

LOCATION: Last day in Kerrville, TX, about 50 miles NW of San Antonio

WEATHER:  Mostly sunny.  Warming up. High about 55

We took another long hike around the campground.  Then, we drove around the Hill Country.  We stopped in Camp Verde which has a cute general store and beautiful restaurant.  Then, we drove on some back roads, stopping in 2 very nice wineries near Comfort, TX.

The wines were good.
Then, we drove around a new planned housing development near our campground. Many of the houses look like Tuscan villas.  The deer were everywhere
Today was mail day.  Each month, we ask our mail-forwarding service to send us our mail.  Today we received our March package. Kind of like Christmas.

George built a great campfire and some new neighbors, from Maine, joined us.

DINNER:  I sautéed carrots in butter, added pearl onions and dill.  Really good.  Served with a few slices of leftover  venison sausage, with a small Vermont sharp cheddar cheese panini.
