February 8, 2015. Enjoying Turquoise Valley

CAMPGROUND:  Last night at Turquoise Valley RV Park
WEATHER:  Another beautiful, sunny day. Highs in low 80s

The mornings and evenings are cool here, in the high desert, while it warms up nicely during the day.

While it was still cool, we went on a 10+ mile bike ride.  It turned out to be pretty grueling.  We had forgotten about our mile-high altitude which made it more challenging.  Also lots of hills.  We made it back and stayed around the trailer all PM.  George finished repairing the cracks on the roof of the camper.  We also put our mattress out to dry in the sun, recovering from the moisture-full days earlier.  I washed and packed away our electric blanket.  Hope it is not wishful thinking.

We have really enjoyed our week here.  This is the view from our park..the golf course surrounded by the mountains.

DINNER:  George had bought a pasta packet on the 50% off rack, so I made that, adding canned chicken, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms.   Pretty good!
