January 31, 2015. Exploring Bisbee

CAMPGROUND:   3rd night at Queen Mine RV
WEATHER:  More rain. Finally some sun in the PM

It rained again all night again.  Thank goodness the parking lot is gravel and not dirt; otherwise we would be in mired in mud.  The RV park had another cancellation so we were able to stay another night.

We met our neighbors, a young couple in a 1948 vintage Airstream.  They  saved up their money, quit their jobs, and plan to travel around for a year.  We checked each other's rig.  They have a leak, and consequently a tarp, too.

We walked around the town.  There are lots of antique shops and art galleries.  The houses are all stacked up on hills.  We stumbled upon Screaming Banshee pizzeria.  As we walked in, roasting garlic smells engulfed us.  They have a huge wood fire to grill pizzas and other dishes.  The roasted garlic dish is called "No Besos Para Ti". (No kisses for you).  :-).  We split a delicious pizza and had a Bisbee beer.

We learned that Bisbee almost died when the mines closed.

Locals worked hard to keep it alive, and now is a popular tourist destination.  Part of the town has remained unchanged.

DINNER:  Leftovers.....risotto and a hamburger patty.  Side dish okra.
