March 2, 2015. Rainy day in Arizona

CAMPGROUND: Saddle Mountain RV Park. Full hook-ups. Many amenities including pool, and workshop.  4 stars. $28/night
LOCATION: Tonopah, Arizona, about 50 miles west of Phoenix
WEATHER:  Rainy and cool. Highs in 50s

George hooked up the camper in a downpour at Organ Pipe Cactus National  Monument and we drove north through the rain.  Our plan was to stay in the outskirts of Phoenix so we can visit friends before hitting the road again.  We found, however, that all of the RV parks were filled due to an RV rally.  The only one with vacancies was this one, farther west.

This is one of those RV parks that you see from the highway and wonder why anyone would stay there.  It turns out that most of the campers here are snowbirds.  (The man guiding us to our site is from Northwest Territories, Canada).  There are quite a few things to do, and everything is tidy and well-maintained.  We will use this as base while we visit friends.

DINNER:  Fish curry.  I used some fish filets that we had bought in Mexico and cooked them with onions, bell pepper, lima beans and curry sauce.  Served over rice.  Pretty good.
