Day 166. January 19, 2014. Beautiful Louisiana day!

Another cozy night in the Airstream at Palmetto Island State Park.  Since it is Sunday, George fixed breakfast.  He made grits in the rice cooker, and did some eggs with bits of last  night's fried rice.  

We hiked the park's nature trail.  Then we biked 4 miles with our Ontario friends to a little gas station/bait shop/grill for lunch.

We had a boudin (rice-stuffed sausage) and what they call a link sandwich.  It is like a wiener/sausage, with jalapeños and other toppings.  

The bike ride was perfect...nice to chat as we biked and absolutely flat :)

I did laundry and studied routes for Texas.  The laundry is beautiful.... heated and free!

We had drinks with the Ontario friends, then watched some 60 Minutes and Downton Abbey on TV.  I fixed cheese-stuffed ravioli in a tomato mushroom sauce for dinner.   Perfect with a glass of carmenere!
