Day 176. January 29, 2014. San Antonio day trip

Another day without water due to the cold.  People are saying that this weather is just unheard of, this time of year in Texas.  Our bad luck.  We quickly headed out toward San Antonio.  We stopped in Johnson City and drove around the LBJ Ranch.  It is still a working ranch with deer, antelope, sheep, horses, and lots of cows

San Antonio is about 60 miles south of here.  We drove by lots of huge ranches.  A lot of barren land.  When we arrived, we found a really nice restaurant that had been recommended when we were here before.  Miraculously, we found it and had a very nice lunch

They let us park in their lot while we walked around town.  We walked around the Riverwalk and saw the Alamo.

On our way back, we stopped at a brewpub in Johnson City. Super deals.

Yeah!  Water is back on, so I took a wonderful shower.  Alexis and I washed the big pile of dirty dishes.

For dinner, we had some Indian Chana Masala that I had bought at a farmers' market, with rice and sautéed veg.
