We left the campground in the AM, and headed toward Austin. It was quite windy, so driving was difficult (cold front coming in). We stopped for a picnic...so convenient to be able to just go into Airstream and make something. We stopped in a cute Texas country town. We learned that a lot of movies are filmed here. We visited a distillery there. The distillery chemist is from Norway. We bought a bottle of moonshine.
We are visiting our friend Heather, from St. Paul who is spending the winter in Austin. We walked to a nearby Mexican restaurant for a margarita. We had their specialty variety, made with avocado. It was really good and smooth. Then we walked next door to a Lebanese place for dinner. Also very good.
