Day 191. February 13, 2014. Brownsville shopping

We drove back to Brownsville to get new tires for car.  Yikes!  Really messed our budget!  For lunch, we went back to the restaurant where we had gone yesterday.  We ate while they were working on the car.  We had fish ceviche.....really good and huge portion.
We went grocery shopping in Brownsville.  It sure didn't seem like USA.  We were about the only English-speaking people.  It was just like Mexico....loud speakers, unusual fruits and vegetables, with people everywhere. The meat section was interesting.....whole pig heads, lots of tripe, cow feet.  I bought some Mexican cheese, just called queso fresco.

The weather is turning beautiful, so everyone in the campground is out and about.  We rode bikes for awhile, then joined our neighbor's happy hour.  We walked to a restaurant near our campground for an appetizer.  Here is the view from the restaurant facing our campground.
Brownsville is famous for its fresh wild-caught shrimp.  We bought some, and I fixed shrimp pasta for dinner.  I sprinkled the queso fresco on top.  Quite good!
