Day 202. February 24, 2014. Choke Canyon relaxing

We are enjoying Choke Canyon, about an hour south of San Antonio.  We took a long hike to explore the campground.  We saw birds and deer.  Texas is supposedly the "birdiest" state in the country.  We chatted with our Belgian friends, then relaxed around the campsite.

Quiet day.  George made a campfire and I grilled tandoori chicken that I had marinated in plain yogurt and herbs.  

A new RV pulled in with a giant grill.  We learned that the guy is a professional BBQer and competes in contests.  He is going to grill ribs for everyone on Friday, so we are extending our stay here.

    I wonder if the famous BBQ person has been on Diners, Drive Inns and Dives :) Enjoy, and I so enjoy reading your blog.
