Day 193. February 15, 2014. More fun in South Padre Island

We picked up a map listing the 25 sand castles on the island, and biked around to see them.  We biked the full stretch of the island....10 miles round trip.  It wasn't bad as we stopped along the way to look at the sand  castles.
Most are in great shape, after being created more than a year ago.
Each is sponsored by a business
This one is in the front yard of the artist.  We talked to her about the process.  She mixes in beach sand and river sand.  Once the castle is complete, she sprays it with  an Elmer's glue/water solution.

We pedaled back for lunch.  In the PM, George washed the camper and car.  I read in the sun.  Later, we hopped on the bus and stopped at a beach bar on the lagoon.  Great views, and interesting sunset with the fog

I made shrimp tacos with some local fresh Gulf shrimp. We used some tomatillos in the sauce.  Quite authentic-tasting!
