WEATHER: 30 mph winds, drizzle, cool. Highs around 45.
The nasty weather continues. We've been in clouds and rain pretty much since Christmas. When we made the bed this morning, we discovered dampness under the mattress. Somehow the high humidity has been condensing between the mattress and the board underneath. We propped it up and dried things out with the space heater and hair dryer. Very disconcerting!
In the afternoon, we went on an excursion with a couple from Upper Peninsula, whom we had met last year here. We took the free island shuttle...
First, we went to an Irish pub, then back to the Padre Island brewpub. It was a fun get-together.
DINNER: BBQ chicken. When we grilled the other night, I separated 2 thighs out, and cooked them with BBQ sauce. Tonight, I just warmed them up. Side was hash browns with red peppers and onions.
