January 16, 2015. Sunshine on South Padre Island!

CAMPGROUND:  Still at Isla Blanca

WEATHER:  Cloudy in AM, but glorious sun in PM.  Highs in 60s

Everyone popped out of their campers, like groundhogs, when the sun came out.   We spread things out to dry on the picnic table.  We ate  lunch outside and basked in the sun.

We took a bike ride to the beach.  I love the fact that Spanish is so common here.  Here is a cute sign in the park.

(Put garbage in its place!)

We strolled on the beach, picking up starfish which had sadly died during the cold spell.

So pretty!

We picked up our monthly mail packet, which is always fun.

DINNER:  We went out to a fabulous Italian restaurant.  We ordered a pizza and they gave us complimentary salad as well as bread with garlicky balsamic.  We hopped on the island shuttle to get there, and walked home in the nice weather.
