The weather is really strange. We woke up to a steam bath! A warm front had come in overnight, and everything was damp and warm. We turned on the A/C to try to dry things out. Then, it started to pour and cool back down, and we had cold weather with thunderstorms almost all day.
We drove into Lake Charles for lunch. We lucked out.....crawfish are just coming into the season. We "ate tail and sucked heads" of a dozen boiled crawfish. What a treat!
We found a cozy Irish pub, staying dry and warm with some ales.
We gassed up the car, preparing for tomorrow's trip to Texas. We are happy with these gas prices!
DINNER: Pasta with leftover shrimp, with a sauce of onion, garlic, green pepper and white wine. Salad on the side,! Sauvignon Blanc to accompany. We like this Glamping!
