Day 81. October 26, 2013. Cumberland Gap

Cumberland Gap is in VA, TN, and KY.  The campsite is in KY.  We watched a program in the visitors' center, then drove up to Pinnacle Peak where we could see all 3 states.  We drove westward about 4 hours.  Lunch was an uneventful PB &J sandwich in the car.  

We arrived in Mammoth Cave National Park about 3:00.  We are trying to hit as many national parks as possible.  We biked around the campground.  

Dinner was delicious....grilled chicken.  I marinated thighs with Worchestire, olive oil and a bit of BBQ sauce.  Really moist.  I also roasted an onion quarter by baking it in aluminum foil  with butter, salt and pepper.

After dinner we went to a ranger-led informational talk about bats.  Nicely done,

We wear about 4 layers of clothes all the time, along with our ski caps
